Comfortably blending modern conveniences with elegant style, the Suites sits in a typical medieval city building in walking distance from all major attractions of Chania perfectly situated to sample some of city’s favourite pastimes, like getting lost at old venetian ruins and drinking amounts of coffee and raki while tasting the famous Cretan Kitchen like the locals do.
The Suites’ location affords an ideal combination of both proximity to the crowded center of the town, with its shopping and nightlife, but also at a sufficient margin of distance so as to secure an absolute sense of tranquility for your ultimate relaxation. Our Suites are located in the finest part of the Chania Old Town, just a few steps from the old Venetian harbour. Part of Kasteli district makes our Suites a strategic point to visit all important city sights and monuments. Kanevaro Street which was, in fact, the Venetian Commercial area – Corso - starts at our doorstep. Next to our door discover an entire floor plan of an ancient Minoan house who the Greek-Swedish excavation brought it, to the light.
Visit the ruins of the Monastery of Virgin Mary de Miracolo on Agiou Markou Street and foloow the old Venetian stairs who leads to the harbour. On Katre Street, you can find the ruins of a Turkish bath - Hammam, and part of the Rector’s Mansion on Lithinon Street. Heading east from Diamond Luxury Suites discover the famous Splantzia Square with the unique orthodox church dedicated to St. Nicholas, with its Christian Bell Tower on one side and an Ottoman Minaret on the other side. The sadly neglected church of St. Rocco, and lost hidden small churches of St. Catherine & John the Hermit, or St. Anargiri behind the square. You can find many practical stores as a supermarket, barber shop, hairdresser, daily spa, bookshop, gallery etc. on Archoleon and Daskalogiannis Street, which is the main artery to the old harbour.
