Limni Keriou (Keriou Lake), along with the beach and the port of Keri, are located 15 kilometers from the city of Zakynthos on a verdant mountain bank. The area is called Limni Keriou (Keriou Lake) because of the lake that was there and which has now been drained. The beach of Keri, with its sand and pebbles is an ideal spot for swimming. Across the way from the shore, the island of Marathonissi dominates and it imposingly adorns the gulf of Lagana. On the golden, sandy beach that extends like a tongue into the sea, the Caretta-Caretta sea turtles make their nests. National Marine Park guards live there permanently and protect the island, the turtle and its eggs. Located at a distance of 5 kilometers is the island of Keri, with its stone houses and narrow streets. Passing through the village we reach the lighthouse (Faros), which is located on the edge of the steep cliff approximately 200 meters deep, and this lighthouse has for years helped ships navigate the area.
